Cloth Tatjana Rokvić

Tatjana Rokvić lives and creates in a small coastal town of Rovinj, situated on the Adriatic coast of Croatia. She has devoted the last ten years of her life to a fusion of her two passions—art and ecology. Her sculptures are made out of trash and drift wood found on Rovinj beaches, plastic objects, metal, textile, glass and wood. Besides the important work of removing these objects from the environment, by up-cycling them, Tatjana is drawing attention to the growing pollution that is literally suffocating our seas and oceans. Through humour and irony, her work prods the observers to contemplate the actual pollution and their own role in it.

Living in a tourist location has enabled Tatjana to be in touch with people from all over the world. Through that contact, she has realized that seemingly lighthearted nature of her work makes it accessible to anyone, no matter their origin, language, or age. Therefore, using her art to raise both local and global awareness about the grave situation that the humanity has put itself in with growing consumerism and pollution that accompanies it. Along the smile that her sculptures put on spectator’s faces, they also pose a question: what is my role in stopping the ecological catastrophe that we are approaching?

Tatjana's sculptures are unique, fragile and difficult to send. That's why you'll find a selection of her artworks on t-shirts and dresses here and you can carry her message out into the world. And thus put a smile on the faces of your environment in a simple way😊. These clothes are of very good quality, very comfortable to wear and they will become your favourite pieces!
